I have been talking about starting a blog for years now. I can't say that the purpose has always been to blog on the same issues of life. Even now, I'm not very sure myself. But I do hope I can blog different aspects of my life and identity. Anyhow, we shall see how this goes.
So just to address the title, I am an evangelical christian. This means I am committed to my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Being God incarnate, He came down to earth almost 2000 years ago to take the price for our sins by dying on the cross. While the wages of sin is death, the gift of God is eternal life. The Bible is absolute authority, written by men inspired by God in times gone. This however, has to be read in the context of the day, which entails understanding what the original writers intended to communicate. I hope to explain how I came to this view over time.
Now the "gay"part. Well, I am sexually attracted to other males. Simple as that! Did I choose this? No I did not. Why is this so? I don't know. What does this mean for me?
Nevertheless, God is good and I am his good creation. Nothing changes that. Is this contradictory? I don't think so.
